Biomimetics Health Industries is a UK based life sciences organisation specialising in the research, development and manufacture of ‘nature replicating’ chemical products for application in local and global healthcare, water treatment, medicine, agriculture, sanitation, public safety and food processing. The products are based upon a clean water technology, which mimics the antimicrobial solution produced by the human immune system to fight infection. These products, such as Salvox, are derived from a unique form of stable Hypochlorous Acid. This solution is an incredibly effective natural sanitiser that kills all known pathogens: it is rapidly bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and sporicidal, yet is completely safe to humans, being non-sensitising, non-irritant to skin or eyes, non-mutagenic and non-toxic. It also causes no harm to the environment.
CEO Chris Mallet and the Biomimetics Health team have achieved, perfected and patented a groundbreaking scientific advance that has enabled the manufacture of stable Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) at its dynamic equilibrium. The process of manufacture is via chemical means as opposed to electrolysis so the product can be cost effectively made in bulk. The resultant HOCl has a proven shelf life of six months, enabling the product to be bottled and shipped to any end user.
The application of Biomimetics Health Industries products are seemingly limitless, and offer significant benefits to a wide range of market sectors, and local and global environmental and developmental initiatives. For example, in medicine the products are used as highly effective controls against contagious pathogens and all healthcare associated infections such as MRSA, E.coli, C.difficile, Tuberculosis and Legionella bacteria, whilst maintaining complete staff and patient safety. In agriculture the product delivers a natural and organic means of achieving faster seed priming and greater crop yield. In food processing they offer a natural and ‘food safe’ means of enhancing the freshness of produce by killing bacteria, yeasts, moulds and fungi without any detrimental effect.
